Instructions

Your responsibilities as a coach/team leader or manager

You are responsible for ensuring that your team provides the required number of people for each assignment. Please allocate duties to specific players in advance and make sure they know when and where to arrive and what they will be doing.

  • Referees and scorers must arrive 45 minutes before the match starts.
  • Ball retrievers and floor wipers must arrive 30 minutes before the match starts with indoor shoes and Gentofte Volley clothe.
  • Everyone must be ready to carry out their duties and stay until the match has finished.
  • Refereeing duties must be assigned to people with the appropriate qualifications.
  • If someone cannot attend, your team is responsible for arranging a replacement.

If the assigned duty team does not show up

The home team’s coach should immediately contact the coach of the assigned duty team to find out what has happened and arrange coverage.

The assigned duty team remains responsible for providing the missing people. Meanwhile, the home team’s coach should help coordinate a practical solution with people available in the hall, ensuring that any replacement referees are appropriately qualified.

Please let me know afterwards which match was affected, which team was assigned and how the situation was resolved, so we can follow up. We need to help each other!

If your match is rescheduled

If you arrange a change to your match’s date or start time, you are responsible for the duty arrangements for the rescheduled match.

This means you must:

  • Inform the originally assigned duty team that the match has moved.
  • Confirm whether they can cover the new date and time.
  • Find a replacement duty team if they cannot.
  • Confirm the roles, number of people and new arrival times with everyone involved.

Do not assume that moving the match automatically moves the duty assignment. The arrangements must be confirmed directly with the duty team.
